Great news, I've always respected Northwich both on and off the pitch  ;) ;) ;) ;)

This gives us a great chance on Saturday, hope GH plays both Aaron and Col.

It's worth looking at their website. They seem to have injury troubles of their own..

It may just be the plan here to play for a replay; seems like the most sensible option. Then all we need is Col up front.

I'm looking forward to Mansfield on Saturday.
Don't want to go all that way and see us go for a draw. We are still more than capable of beating them with 11 players.

Could Welch play in midfield alongside Kearney, giving Densmore and Clee a chance to get forward?

Altrincham FC First Team / Are we still satisfied with 3 points ??
« on: October 18, 2009, 12:35:48 PM »
Before Rushden, people were saying that they would be happy with 3 points from this months games.

Do we still think that?
Personally I'm not (although hindsight is a wonderful thing!!).

I think we can beat any other team in this league on our day, home or away.

(I can hardly wait for Saturday, btw)

That sounds encouraging.
Apparently they were woeful against Wrexham a couple of weeks ago.

Two really, Burnley was one.
The other, strange as it may seem, was Liverpool. We were at the height of our powers and would have given any other top flight team a real run for their money.
We could have had a record breaking cup run that year, I will be thinking 'what if' for the rest of my life!!!

We need this to erase the injustice of Saturday.

Bring it on.

Altrincham FC First Team / Will we ever get the credit we deserve??
« on: October 05, 2009, 08:35:47 PM »
I wonder how many others have noticed this..

Obviously whenever a team loses, the manager looks at his own teams performance, but recently we have had some great away performances and all the opposing manager can say is how disappointed and angry he is with his own players.
I wonder if they are expecting an easier game and are unsure how to react when their players cannot make any headway against us...

Long may it continue!!!

I was stood in front of the kiosk at the Chequers end, very near to where the ref was, as it happens.
No doubt the defender impeded CS deliberately, my only fear was that the ref wouldn't see it, definitely the right decision.

When will we have an injury free squad to choose from.

At the moment any improvement is looking a long way off, I reckon late November (providing no-one else gets injured).
Here in Chester we are all hoping that Col is ready for the trip to the Deva.

Classic quote from Cheltenham  Town manager Martin Allen about Julien Alsop, who scored against Rotherham this weekend

"When it comes it will be special to all of us and I think he will end up getting 10 league goals, which will be a fantastic achievement for someone so fat.
