My son has just driven from Manchester to Liverpool in thick fog. Is fog likely to threaten the game? I'm in Buxton at the moment where it's a lovely sunny day so he has me worried. Hoping to go in by train.

For what it's worth (which usually isn't that much) the BBC weather forecast for Stockport has sunny intervals 12 noon - 3pm, then light cloud. Up here, not too far from the Pennines, the mist is clearing.
