Apparently according to the font of all knowledge (no need to name names here) we still owe Clitheroe when we intially bought him...where is the source for this snippet of infomation?

they literally are going to use the money to pay the players    c&p Northwich Guardian

VICS’ owner plans to pay his out-of-pocket players with cash raised from the sale of star player Joel Byrom.

The 22-year-old, in line to win his first England C cap next week, completed a £15,000 transfer to FA Trophy winners Stevenage Borough today – money Jim Rushe will use to pay wages owed to the midfielder’s now former teammates.

He has also secured a 20 per cent sell-on clause should the Hertfordshire club receive a fee for the ex-Clitheroe man in the future.

“It’s a great deal for us, and substantially more than we were offered for Joel a couple of months ago when Stevenage made their first bid,” said Rushe.

He told fans at a supporters club meeting last night that Vics players, none of whom are owed more than six weeks' wages, would be paid in full before the end of the month.

All had signed a wage deferral to signal their agreement, he said

What a lovely gesture....if he carries on with such generosity then he might even pay the local tradesmen and then they can get Christmas presents for the kids this year..
