Sad news......one of the many people who welcomed non Alty born and bred newbies like me into the club 20 odd years ago.
Her calming down of Dennis post match was something I always smile about

Taking personal feelings out of it 10 goals in 33 isn't that bad a ratio is it?

Firstly, it's ten from nearer fifty if you count sub appearances.
Secondly, how many were tap ins?
Thirdly, how many glaring misses has he had?
Fourthly, chances to goals scored ratio probably 6 or 7 to 1 when it needs to be, at the outside, 3 or 4 to 1.

As has been said elsewhere, not NL quality sadly however nice a lad and however hard he tried.

Couldn’t care less how many were tap ins!!

It’s not quite worked out but whether it’s a lockdown/bcd thing or not I don’t know but Marcus Dinanga is comfortably better than at least half a dozen of the strikers who preceded him in the season before.

To talk of him as on a par with the all time great Alty duffers is really odd to be honest?
Not odd at all. He couldn't do the basic things required by a footballer. Never tackled anyone, never beat anyone, never won a header (it's debatable if he ever actually jumped for one), and couldn't hit a barn door.
He's right up.there with the worst.
As said before on my earlier posts......not good enough at NL level but a decent NLN or NLS player.....far from being up there with some of the recent hopeless number nines we have had.
You never know, he may click at Gateshead and do a job for them

That's the club we are at present. PP has given Colclough and Mullarkey a chance to shine and they have. I feel both have undersold themselves in terms of who they joined.
Another rebuilding job in the summer.

I agree with Toby.....not a great move.

In terms of Ryan, Chesterfield are on a par with Notts and Wrexham and appear to be heading in the right direction. Can see any of them being promoted quickly to L1 once the difficult escape from NL has been achieved. Not sure about managers at County or Wrexham, but Paul Cook highly rated. I think Ryan has done better, but maybe could have gone into the FL.....but that assumes L1 clubs firstly met the trigger of his release and also his wage expectations.....presumably none did...or none an hours drive from Stoke

Welcome to Alty and good luck

Fair comment Ballers.......just think both would do well / have done well a league below

There is certainly no hatred....he trys his best in my opinion and that 'best' proves not to be good enough at our level during 4 matches out of five.
It is not his fault he is selected. The club has failed miserably again to recruit a Conference  National level number 9. He and Hulme are our best sub-standard options at the moment.

To point out also that both Hulme and Dinanga would be considered to be top class in the division below. It is all about levels and we seem to have gambled on players stepping up and in this case it has not worked as well as hoped

Some doing for 3 to go up

I suppose one could go bump 🤔

Wrexham joining US premier......my mistake, meant two of those 3 will go and all local-ish

As many local clubs in the league as possible please - Rochdale and Hartlepool (or Harrogate) plus Chester, Darlington, Scarborough would be good.

If I remember correctly, we got out of the NLN at a time that there were some big clubs relative to the division - a few of the above plus York etc.

Having lots of big local occasions far outweighs losing out on the odd player - especially when we'd want lads coming to us for all the right reasons (management team, vision etc).

Agree. The more 'closer' clubs the better. The amount of travelling to away games is ridiculous for the Alty faithfull..........Consider how many clubs are within 90 minutes drive of Manchester United !

We will likely lose Wrexham, Notts and Chesterfield by May

I think (?) I like the idea of a L2N and L2S

Yes would like to see the Dinanga and Jennings efforts with 'keeper to beat' again.
How the hell did they block that effort from Kaja, not to mention the pinball melee just after

Wonder if he can play against CFC being on loan......assuming he will be a first choice winger or on the bench

Does anyone know if cup tied....I will check game v Coalville
Played for Gloucester v Gateshead according to Gateshead website

So we've basically signed the player who Chesterfield thought so much of that they replaced him with Ryan Colclough?

Having said that, welcome Michael. Hope you enjoy your football here and prove to be a great addition!

My spy at CFC reckons he will do well for us.
