I can see five options for the league to take: carrying on with the season as normal (as soon as possible), implementing an average points system, top two and bottom two up/down, voiding the season, or some sort of combined/cumulative two year season that goes into 20/21. I would rank these options as follows in order of preference for the club (presuming the ultimate goal is promotion this season):
1. League carries on (chance of 2nd/3rd)
2. Average points, play offs played ASAP (home tie in the play off quarter finals)
3. Cumulative season into 20/21 (at lest it helps our chances of promotion next year)
4. Voided season/ top two, bottom two (doesn't help promotion next year)
If an average points system is implemented, this is how the top eight will be ranked:
1. Kings Lynn (2.06)
2. York (1.94)
3. Boston (1.81)
4. Brackley (1.78, 34GD)
5. Altrincham (1.78, 22GD)
6. Chester (1.69)
7. Gateshead (1.68)
-------------------------------------
8. Spennymoor (1.58)
This would mean we played Chester at home in the play-offs sometime in the summer (would be interesting) and if we won, would face a trip to York.
