My opinion on Griffin has nothing to do with Matt Doughty, so I don't know why people have made that assumption. On Tuesday night Griffin was woeful. I only saw the second half yesterday as I was working, but as Jack says, he doesn't get beyond Clee nearly enough. He shows glimpses of quality but he also makes some dreadful decisions, his positioning is terrible. Yesterday he gave the ball away far too cheaply putting us under pressure a lot. Yes, he won a few headers but his sloppiness when in position could have cost us dearly but for better finishing by their strikers.

Slight difference there though isn't there Jimmy. If he was defensively brilliant you could forgive it, but I think his positioning is poor and he is too slow on the turn. I think he's ok, but I don't feel comfortable with him at left back.

In fairness to Adam, I think Nicky was asked to play much deeper yesterday, almost as a wing back, with Adam playing more as a left sided centre back - at least that's how it looked.

Think that's a bit over the top mate to be honest.  We're Altrincham, we are going to have players that are just OK at this level on our budget. 

He overlapped a few times in the first half and put 2-3 balls into the box.

I've no worries with him at left back at all, he will get better with the team as we adapt to this league.

Tuesday 9th April 2013 - Hyde v Ebbsfleet although he managed to get sent off.
