Fans fear for Pilgrims
Boston fans are fearful for the future of the debt ridden club and have gone as far as investigating forming a new club should Boston go into liquidation.
With the Standing Alone takeover not yet complete and fixtures for Blue Square North due to be announced on Tuesday, some fans feel that liquidation is no longer a far off nightmare but a likely reality.
Barrie Pierpoint, Boston's former chief executive, insists that Standing Alone are due to announce their decision in the next few days. If the worst happens and the Leeds-based consortium pull out he plans to put plan B into action in order to save the Pilgrims.
Boston United Supporters Trust are just a small number of fans who fear the worst.
Trust Vice Chairman Melvin Moxon told the Sports Echo: "We approached the FA about the possibility of forming a new club.
"We asked them what level we would be able to enter at, but they just told us it depended on merit."
