"We have no right to expect anything there and we got nothing."

No wonder we've abandoned out FA Cup giant-killing status.

Thats what I was thinking, we have every right to get stuck in and give them a game.

Get stuck in?

There was no lack of effort today.

If we'd got anything out of today would have been a bonus.

We started really slow and sluggish and let them boss the game (which they should do on paper) from the off.

Jenning and Lane were solid, Shotton didn't have his best 90 min but was ok. The problem in the back four  is Tinson's lack of speed.Their 1st was down to this and their 3rd was down to him losing Duffy in the box.

Toulson (Our MOM @ Vics for me) never received the ball 1st half, 2nd half when he got in the game he put a couple of decent crosses in.

Peyton had a good 90 mins, the rest of them average.

C'mon. Lets get realistic. We are playing in a mini league of 6 clubs. End of. If we get points on anyone above those it's a bonus and something we should be proud of. This league is getting bigger than us (we being a part time club) and we are only playing for position number 22. Do we want this every season?

no harm in people letting off steam. again can't find anything in my Bumper Book of Football Rule that says you have to be happy about your new improved team getting trounced.

Thanks for your kind comments about us, very well appreciated. You just came up against an Oxford side that we have not seen this season and that was very unlucky. Thought your fans made a fair bit of noise aswell. Best of luck on staying up and we'll do our best to beat Weymouth, however knowing Oxford we will lose. (p.s CANNOT see us making the playoffs)

Haven't Northwich and Droylsden beaten Oxford this season?

That is all.

For the first time this season I think that we really got rolled over yesterday.Oxford seemed to get the same boost from their two new signings that we got on New Year's Day from our four.Craig McCallister is a bit of a bogey player for us having scored vital goals for Woking in both games last season & I was certain that he would score & did advise the Oxford Mail reporter of this at the start of the game.Oxford were excellent to a man & whilst we didn't ask too many questions of their defence they looked very competent there & that is not where there problems have been.

I listened to the post match comments on the radio & they were highly derogatory about Altrincham, apart from one supporter who gave us a bit of credit for at least trying to play decent football compared to some teams that have visited The Kassam Stadium. The level of bias towards the local team & prejudice against the likes of Altrincham is frightening but hey ho.....our day will come......& so will theirs!!!

There were some positives.I thought Ryan Shotton had a decent game & I was impressed by James Jennings.Warren Peyton played superbly showing excellent control & touch & a level of composure that is often missing, probably because of a lack of confidence.I was very disappointed that Colin Little was ill as I thought that his partnership with Cahill was excellent against Northwich, whilst yesterday Cahill was the only outlet & therefore we were forced to try to reach him with a long ball into the left channel. Most of us got sucked in to believing we could get something yesterday when the reality was that we were always going to be up against it.

In summary a team that is underachieving by two points got well beaten on the day by a team that is underachieving by nine points!

Only 96 of us through the away turnstyle and we can still make a racket!!  We do like a sing song!  :)

If your point is we are a poor team - beating you 4-0 makes you?
