Karl Munroe or Robbie Lawton. Can't help but be swayed by Robbie Lawtons celebration v Vics.

Karl Munroe has won the most improved player hands down though.

So pleased that Karl Munroe's contribution is finally being acknowledged by the fans. Last season he was roundly slated, but has been the best player by miles this time out.

got to be lewis his game has improved so much. last season he spent most of his time on the bench, this year he was given a chance and he took it.

Stop the Press Jill06 and Longsdenjr in agreement shocker!  :o :o ;) :D

but i have to say karl munroe is running a close second his defensive abilities have come on leaps and bounds this year and for sheer workrate robbie is coming in in third

Karl Munroe has been more consistent in my book.

And that comment proves that I can change my mind on people unlike others who are stubborn and won't give players a chance after a few games.

I don't mind people heckling players but you also have to acknowledge good things they do. We have a few fans who jump on players backs as soon as the miss hit a pass or make a mistake but won't clap and encourage when they actually do something well.

I felt Jason Gallagaher always fell into that category.

I for one am absolutely delighted that Karl Munroe has proved me wrong and proved he is a very good defender.

I had an amusing experience in the NWS after the York Match.

Dennis Birch advised me that he had been arguing with people around him (home supporters) who were slagging off Alty players. He said that it wasn't on as they all needed our support and how ridiculous it was that fans picked on individual players for no obvious reason.

I agreed wholeheartedly and mentioned en passant that Jason Gallagher had been the victim of the very same treatment. Dennis wandered off toward the telly muttering something about it only being right.

Very proud to say that I kept an entirely straight face throughout

I agree. Large slice of humble pie for me too.

Think Lewis has gone of the boil just a little from the very high standards he set himself and also believe that Robbie isnt as influential on the right as he was/is in the centre so my vote goes to Munroe. I think if Rose had stayed fit, it could have been very difficult to split them.

I would also like to order seconds of humble pie for a certain reserve keeper of ours. I for one was verbally spouting my worry about Acton having to play over an extended period and yet he was sensational - I even called for him to retain his place even when Stu was fit - thats how much he changed my mind.

So an honourable mention to Richard Acton.

From what ive seen its close between munroe, chalmers and lawton. Just for the sheer admiration of the fact that he stuck at it even when he got slated its got to be munroe for me.

Although on purely performance alone i don't think you can count out Ryan Hevicon!
