Absolutely stunned and saddened at Dave’s swift and untimely passing. Thoughts and prayers with his Dad and other family members x
“Altrincham FC and its supporters have been stunned to hear of the sudden death of regular supporter David Cameron at the age of just 32.
The Club extends its condolences to David's family and friends. David was not only a regular spectator at the J. Davidson Stadium but attended many away games as well and he will be greatly missed.”

RIP David.
Thoughts and prayers to family and friends at this very sad time.

One of the most decent guys I have ever met a massive fan of the club
Such a shock to here this a truly nice man
-
So shocked by this, was talking to him for an hour before and during the Ashton game last week.
He was loving the way the season was going and enthusing about how good this player and that player was. Knew a lot about other teams and players as well did Dave when you spoke to him.
So glad we got a win for him in the final game he saw.
Life is so cruel, totally stunned by this.
RIP Dave - a good Alty fan gone too soon x
-

One of life’s true good guys. Gone far too soon.
Too many good memories of Dave to share on one forum post. I can’t quite put my thoughts in to words.
Honest, trustworthy, kind, generous, hilarious, the ultimate optimist. The list just goes on.
I’m absolutely honoured to be able to call him a friend. I’m absolutely heartbroken by this.
-
Truly horrendous news. Condolences to his family.
RIP Dave
-
This news has totally shocked me. Dave was a genuine nice guy and Alty through and through. RIP Dave.
-
Terrible news . RIP
-
Shocked at this...............Glad i got the chance to have one last chat with you at last Tuesday game RIP Swaying Dave.
-
RIP. Taken far too young.
Condolences to your family.
-
R.I.P thoughts with his friends and family tragic
-
RIP!
Didn’t know Dave personally, I can remember him going Moss Lane as far back as I can think.
That’s no age to lose someone. Thoughts are with his family and friends.
-
Stunned.
All I’ve been able to think about since hearing the news is the recent Mossley game. We watched the entirety of it together and, true to George Heslop’s Moustache’s “ultimate optimist” description, he was so upbeat about Parkinson’s Altrincham proving a turnaround in fortune on the pitch.
Truly one of the nicest people you could hope to meet through football.
Live forever Dave Cameron.

Terribly sad news. RIP.

RIP young man, very tragic. I didn't know him personally but he was clearly well thought of. Always horrible to lose one of our own, thoughts with his family and friends.

I didn't know Dave personally but when shown his photo, I instantly recognised him.
I am so shocked and sorry about this. Here am I, given time to plan for my passing and he has gone in the blink of an eye.
I really am sorry and condolences to his family.
Best wishes to them

Tragic news
RIP Dave
I was wondering as a Tribute to such a top Guy maybe a round of applause in
The 32nd minute at our next home game
Any Thoughts
-
Really sad news. Like many I didn't know him by name but spoke to him at almost every game. Nice friendly lad, RIP Dave
-
I am so very sorry to hear the news about Dave, and at such a young age too. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
I have a feeling I know who he is, but am not sure. Seeing a photo of him I am sure as a long-standing fan that I would know him from his photo.
Aside from the wall of remembrance, I think a minutes applause on Saturday; or our next home match would be appropriate.
-
Just seen his picture on facebook/twitter pages. i do know him and have spoken to him on many occasions, so sad this and once again I am very sorry.
-
Gutted to hear this. Condolences to Dave's family.
So many memories - from Pimms at 11am to burgers the size of a house everything was done with a smile.
RIP Swaying Dave

Great idea - I think that would be a great little tribute.
-
A minutes applause confirmed for before kick off and the players will be wearing black armbands. The very least that could be done for such a top person.
Hoping for 3 points for him now.
-
I'm not surprised the players are doing this. Jake Moult makes a point of sending his and the whole squad's condolences to Dave's family in his Captain's Chat column in today's match programme.
-
Proud today a great tribute to Dave
-
I did not know Dave, but have seen him at a few games. It was very sad news to hear of his death, deepest sympathy to his family.
-
Lovely 1 minute applause at the game . Well done Alty

Davids funeral will be held on Thursday 8th March at Altrincham Crematorium followed by a wake at the Moss Trooper in Timperley. It will be family flowers only and donations if required will be to the British Heart Foundation care of Kenneth Dewey & Sons Funeral Directors in Hale. Many Thanks for all the support. His brother is asking on David Facebook page to contact him via messager if you would like to attend.
