Is he the lad who went to Shaw Lane? Or am I thinking of someone else? Looks like Disney will be out for some time.

I didn't go last night. My worry about Jordan Hulme is he simply doesn't look like he is going to score. Amis may have been disliked by Stockport fans but I have confidence in him to score at Evostik level - in fact in my opinion we've missed him badly.
JJ blows hot and cold for me. It'll be interesting to see how he stands up to full backs at the likes of Farsley and Workington. I like him and hope it works out.
I have to say, I would be mqjorly surprised if PP doesn't make contact with AH's keeper - he looked pretty decent on Saturday too.
The central midfield by all accounts had plenty of space to play last night, but I still believe that is our area of greatest concern moving forward.
Hoping to make Barwell on Saturday.

Was there for FA Vase v Atherton last year. Still a very friendly club. Yes, they were much much better than the last time we met. For an hour they bombarded Atherton's goal before completely falling to pieces late on - should be fun.

Need a new keeper and defensive midfielder. Can't wait for Amis and Miller to get back. We also miss Simon Richman badly.

We can't blame the ref for our failing to press home a 3-goal advantage against a massively inferior side. However, every person in the ground saw the blatant push on Tom Peers, which should have resulted in a penalty prior to the one we conceded. The challenge on Taylor was indeed dreadful and I hope the lad is okay.

Well done Abbey Hey - can't begrudge them the draw and replay. They exploited our defensive fragility, injuries, wastefulness in front of goal, appalling refereeing and inability to create anything meaningful without James Poole on the pitch. I'd love to hear anyone from Altrincham try and talk that performance up. We were sh*te.

Witton's style of football suited us, but all the same, we were very impressive (particularly in the first half). Every player put in a shift with Poole clearly much too good for this level. Hope Simon Richman is ok, as it didn't look too good for him. I think we might begin to like Josh Hancock after all. Much much better from Jake today too. Hope Witton do well this season. Well done to everyone today.

Taylor is a long way from being our problem in midfield. If the manager sticks with Jake Moult, we really will have a problem. His distribution is a complete nightmare and he provides no protection for the centre backs.
I do actually like Thompson, I think he's a really useful keeper, but unless he works on his kicking it is going to keep on resulting in needless pressure being put on our defenders.

The corner count is farcical, for no return. 9 tonight I counted.

Agree that 3 cbs with wing backs could be a decent option. Hulme runs and runs and runs and there was one incredible mazy dribble. He just ain't gonna score unfortunately - really hope he proves me wrong. We can't persist with a keeper who kicks the ball into touch time and time again - it's just silly. I'd definitely play Sheridan for Moult on Saturday.

It's a win, but it wasn't pretty. Some of those lads are being carried by others. Jones and Harrison were immense and Richman ran his heart out again at right back.
We're not going up with those strikers, that's for sure.

I certainly agree that once we score one outfield goal, some poor team is going to get trounced. Hope it's tonight.
