Southport at home would give us a decent opportunity to get through.

Long expected Pilley to take over at Blackpool after Oyston. Bet there are a few worried people at Fleetwood.

Doubt we'll ever find out.

Playing Poole up top is as valid a suggestion as any, but it points to what is fundamentally wrong with our team at the moment really - no out and out goal scorer. I'm convinced it's the only thing holding us back. I know we've scored goals, but only sporadically - too many 0-0s or 1-1s. Stick a Hardie or a Shaw in that team and we're walking it. I'm praying that either Miller or Omotola go ballistic in their respective loan spells.

I'd have thought that our failure to take maximum points yesterday had a good deal more to do with Jordan Hulme missing an open goal and JJ opting to shoot rather than lay it off to a better positioned team mate.

Buxton did themselves great credit today. At no point did they decide to merely settle for a point and it would have been very hard on them had they lost.
For us, TT was outstanding. Let's be honest, his confidence has grown with every match. I also thought Harrop and Bembo-Lita had good games. Does anybody know when Short and Hannigan are back? We miss them.

Ah, I see. While it's a pain for those who have made plans, for the club I think this is best. Let's face it, we'll most likely beat them at home and surely that'll knock them out completely.

It is indeed treating our club and fans with contempt. However, in the long run I can't see this being a bad thing for us. By the time we travel to Shaw on March 3rd I fully expect us to have beaten them at home and for there to be clear daylight between us. Also, with the match at their place being scheduled for a Saturday (is that right? I thought they played Mondays), we'll certainly outnumber them.

PP has consistently stated that Omotola has a bright future at Alty. If Miller and Omotola can return from loan/injury fully fit, we'll certainly have a plan B. There's no doubting the quality of both - they just need game time.

Buxton lost at home to a very poor team last night. Shaw really ought to be exhausted after Ramsbottom and Mansfield. It's time to go for the jugular. 6 points for me.

Well, though it would have been nice to have got Shaw at our place, at least Rammy will bring more fans.

I think a loan midfielder would be the best solution to this. I wonder what contacts the management have with other clubs.

Definitely agree with MarpleAlty on this one - same team that sneaked past Ashton should be enough.
