Spennymoor are definitely bankrolled. Don't know about Blyth.

I doubt whether our team is good enough to go straight up again next season (assuming we do indeed go up this year). The northern league is getting tougher and tougher all the time and we will definitely be light in midfield and probably up front. We'd need to bring in at least 3 more quality players at that level (a level PP has never operated at before) and we will be competing for players with a number of well-backed and/or full time teams.
Truthfully, in order to compete at anything above half way in the northern league, we'd need a change of leadership and some considerable investment. Sorry, but talk of two consecutive promotions is at the moment fanciful.

I half worry about Warrington. They have blanked us twice and did us over in the cup - they've also kept pace with us while we've been winning. Shaw struggle away and Workington have again left it too late.
My greatest concern (more than any of our rivals), is the state of our pitch.

It wasn't a good game, but it was a good result on a dreadful surface. Agree with others that Hampson and TT in particular were brilliant today. What Stockport were thinking releasing Hampson I'll never know.Poole and JJ looked a bit off, but I'm not sure the surface really benefited their respective games.
I was speaking to a number of pleasant, but very disgruntled Stafford fans in the first half, unhappy that their only decent striker was on the bench and embarrassed at the state of their relatively newly laid pitch! I haven't seen every game this season, but a couple of defenders apart, they were definitely the worst team I've seen.
Well done PP and all the players. We march on...

When they are together in the team, I never fancy us to concede.

Indeed. A huge well done to PP, the players and the travelling support today. Hopefully not famous last words, but things are looking good...

White covers both left and right full back positions, so will be invaluable to us. I also don't believe that tinkering is really necessary. The conditions were the leveller on NYD, so no knee her reactions required.

Having said that, JJ has looked a bit out of sorts for a bit, so he does need a rest.
We've lost a lot of players recently, so I'm thinking that possibly room is being made for a new player. If we are really serious about winning this league, I'd be asking the question of Lee Shaw at Grantham or Hardy at Buxton. There's no harm in asking!

Like oneedham, I really rate Witton's number 2 Prince Heywood - what a fabulous little player he is. Also, their number 7, Owen Dale. I know absolutely nothing about him, other than he ran us all over the place.

At 3 2, bringing Hannigan on was obvious. I don't know why PP didn't. Shaw and Workington both got drubbed too. Looks like the weather conditions evened things up everywhere. Well done to Witton by the way - the winning goal was brilliant.

Well, I couldn't go, as I'm away, but if the Radio Robins coverage is anything to go by, we sounded bloody awesome today. A big, well done to PP and all the boys - really thought that today would be a banana skin for us.

A good lad who gave it his all for us. I wish him all the best at Witton, a decent club at this level.

Three dreadful games coming up against teams all playing well. I'd take 7 points from the games, but I fear the worst at Marine - hope I'm wrong.

White must have been brought in as a right back. Whether he's a replacement for Dens, Bemba or Disney - no idea. But surely we can't accommodate all of them.

Would have been much happier if we'd paid a fee for a goalscorer.

Obviously, Dens at full back. I can understand the argument re. Miller; we are becoming a bit predictable up tops, particularly against well-organised opposition. Still think we'll have enough to win 2 0 (hope Hannigan is fit).

Our much celebrated forward line is once again ineffective against a quality, well-organised defence.
