Apologies, corrected now. I still think if we can win 3 games and force a couple of draws we should have enough, an albeit unlikely win on Saturday would really put us in a strong position. I'm sure the players will still be hurting from the trophy game at the shay earlier in the season and desperate to put that right.

Thursday

Gainsborough v Chester

Saturday

Brackley v Guiseley
Halifax v Alty
Gainsborough v Oxford
Harrogate v Solihull
Hinckley v BPA

All I want at the moment is Chester F.C. to win at Gainsborough Trinity tonight. thus leaving Trinity 8 pts behind us with 7 games to play. Purely on potential points we are going to finish anywhere between 2nd & 12th. I am hoping we MIGHT make 5TH.

BPA's run-in couldn't be much more favourable and they're on a great run already - I agree with whoever said they're now our main challengers for 5th and I'd actually make them marginal favourites to get there. Harrogate and Gainsborough (if they can get something tonight) both still have a decent chance though. I feel Halifax and Brackley will both get in comfortably enough.

We certainly need to get at least a point at BPA and then I reckon we need 2-3 points from the other three difficult-looking games we have left, provided we win all three of the easy-looking ones. 76 points would probably be enough for 5th.

76 points is an insane total just to finish 5th in a 22 team league, BPA may have a favourable run in but they are playing Saturday,Monday,Wednesday,Saturday,Wednesday,Saturday,Monday,Saturday and that intensity takes its toll no matter who you are playing

Are BPA full or part time. If p/t then this will be difficult for them.

Is there an update anywhere of the remaining games for the play off chasing teams?

I agree that we'd be unlucky to miss out on 74, say, but I think it's possible. The sides that BPA have to play will be no fresher than they are, except maybe Histon, and Oxford City have got an even busier schedule. They worry me, Oxford - they play BPA and Gainsborough twice and Harrogate and I'm concerned they might not take a single point from any of them.

I don't know why, but I just can't see BPA beating Oxford on the Monday and again 48 hours later.
