Title: Two sign forms for Alty
Post by: Paul Cain's Chip Pan on March 18, 2016, 03:10:48 PM
From official site:

Altrincham FC welcomes Gateshead winger James (Jimmy) Phillips to the J. Davidson Stadium on loan till the end of the current season. Jimmy (born 20 September 1989) has recently been on loan at Macclesfield.
He has made more than 120 appearances in the Football League for Burton Albion, after he had started his career with Stoke City. The Potters loaned him to Alfreton Town and Stafford Rangers before his release from the Britannia Stadium in summer 2009. It was then that he joined Burton.

In March 2014 he had another loan spell with Alfreton Town, in the Conference. In summer 2015 he signed for Gateshead and in February 2016, he went to Macclesfield Town on loan.

Also signing National League forms for Altrincham is youth team amd Alty Reserves' graduate Tom Westall. Tom currently plays at left-back for the Reserves but formerly operated on the wing for Altrincham's youth team. Tom has impressed caretaker manager Neil Tolson in training, having made his first-team debut earlier this year in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Phillips made his Gateshead debut in a 2-1 win over Aldreshot.

I'm getting to the bookies in the morning.

Doubt it. Totally UNDERWHELMED by these signings and also think it is too late to make any difference to our plight. >:( >:(

Totally UNSURPRISED by your response. Anyone would think you wanted us to fail, but then again you probably do don't you?

So, who would you like us to have got into the Part-Time National League Club on loan then?

... and 'emergency loan' at that? At least wish him well (as I do!), or hold your peace, for goodness' sake.

Very pleased we've brought in a speedy winger at last. Good luck to both the lads. Shame we couldn't bring a proper right back in, but hey ho. Come on Alty!

No, I most certainly don't want us to fail but, being realistic, I just cannot see us staying up with this crop of players. Really hope I am wrong.

That's great news, and an indicator that were not just lying down and accepting our fate.

Some folks on here's negativity is mind blowing at times.

3 points is a must today, let's get behind our lads

Might one ask (in the name of research only)

A) Did L of D attend today?

B) If so, or even if not tbh, does he wish to comment on the day's proceedings?

Phil,
Of course as I was there as I am a season ticket holder of 30 plus years standing.

As for the performance, it was very good against a very poor side, and 3 of the 4 goals were excellent. Hopefully, 3 more points towards safety. :)

Hope that helps with your research. ;D

Which goal wasn't excellent, in your view? Because if it was the penalty then I think Moult going for raw power was an excellent choice.
