From John Laidlar's site:

"An Alty trialist from Leek Town, defender Adam Yates, opted instead to join Morecambe in 2006-07. But "Morecambe Football Club have announced that they will be releasing five players. Boss Sammy McIlroy has announced that Adam Yates, Matty Blinkhorn, Michael Howard, Diarmuid O'Carroll and Matty Bell have been released".

Financially out of our league I take it, even if he was to go p/time?

Rumour has it he might be going to Port Vale anyway.

Matty Blinkhorn got a few goals for MOrecambe in the conference. I'm sure he'd do a good job for someone.

A lad I work with is his best mate, too injury prone for us I think.

Last time I spoke about him Oxford were interested.
