This will be a shame as I think their overall coverage of the Conference over the past 2 seasons has been good - apart from the lack of Alty matches.
They also let me down with advertising Rep of Ireland games - only to restrict tranmission to most to the Irish Republic = disgraceful that an Irish Company favours Jocks ;)

It is a real shame as their priorities are very good, they give small teams their chance to get a bit of income and to sghow of at a national level, im sure if they are in trouble someone will buy them over as the channel has ability to go further, shame we didnt get on against northwich. lets hope we get on tv twice next season when setanta stays afloat

The problem is not enough people want to watch non league football. Sad but true.

No. The perception is the people begrudge paying twice to receive the same amount of sports they were getting via Sky a couple of years ago

If they do go under and no one buys the rights to show BSP football next season we will lose out a lot less than most teams.

That's spot on. It will level the $$$ playing field in our favour big time. Don't be surprised if this would mean some bigger clubs going into administration (combination of reduced crowds/advertising revenue cos of recession, inability to raise bank finances, lack of liquidity generally meaning less equity financing also available, and now this)

If Setanta disappear Sky will probably be offered the rights at a lower price due to not having any competition.

We would be hit a lot harder than other teams because the Setanta money makes up a greater proportion of our income than it does for other teams.
