In today's Non League paper they say as many as twelve Conference clubs could be involved. Only Grays and Forest Green are named, but they say five other BSP + North/South games are being investigated.

Worrying. Life bans are in order for anyone found guilty of this nonsense.

I put a pound (last of the big spenders) on us to lose 2-0 at Lewes at 33/1. Still felt rotten about the defeat though.   :(

I still believe that the Grays could have been suspicious at Alty in my opinion.

There seemed no fight and wayward finishing, it just seemed so odd for a team that needed one more win to stay up.

Apart from the accy v bury one apparently some of the games under suspicion are grays v fgr(!), redditch v Burscough and a chester city game.

Personally I would be very surprised if last weeks game between 4th from bottom Farsley Celtic v 4th placed Soutport who rested a load of players wasn't under suspicion. Farsley won 5-1 !!

Is anybody else noticing a certain part of the country cropping up here?

Just one Chester game? If these match fixing keeps happening. How long before the gaming companies stop betting on non-league football or we go back to the dark days of minimum 5-folds?

A couple of weeks ago my brother told me that there had been some suspicious betting patterns re. a particular Conference game and that the score would almost certainly end up 1-0. Strangely enough, the game finished 1 0 and so he contacted BetFair and they were apparently investigating the match. I really wouldn't be surprised if one or two teams ended up in hot water over this, so if I were a Woking or Northwich fan, I would be hopeful, though I can't really see how matchfixing can be proven.

Which game was that? it's ok, we're only speculating here and not making allegations (just put apparently or alledgedly beforehand).

I too heard that there was a game like that but I didn't know which one.

S***, don't know if this is wise, but allegedly it was a top v bottom game in midweek and the top team scored after 5 minutes and that was that! Is this the same game that you heard about Ballers?
