The bottom picture is Ossie Smith being booked by Phil Taykor in a fans V team end of season friendly.

Nice pics never seen them before.

Stan Allen is in all of them!...and the last photo shows the 'cote taking part in a rare tackle.

My attempt, from left....

No1 - Stan Allan, John Connuaghton & John Davison
No2 - Stan Allan & John Connaughton
No3 - John King(?), John Owens, Graham Barrow, Stan Allan
No4 - Gerry Casey, John Owens(?), Stan Allan, Graham Heathcote (Everton player John Connolly who got carried off with a broken leg)

connollys broken leg in a tackle by john davidson, was later immortalised in foul magazine as one of the top 10 fouls of the season. also in that top 10 was one j.king of wigan athletic.

I agree with Jock apart from I think that it is Graham Barrow rather than John Davison in the top picture & Graham Heathcote rather than Graham Barrow in Picture No.3.

The constant diving by the Everton CF (Latchford I believe it was) as soon as he got in the box was hilarious. He had Klinsman beat by 20 years!

The funniest thing about that match was the commentator;
Before the game he was going on about how the match might be delayed by the extension that was going to be needed on their new electronic scoreboard to show all the Everton goals ...
As the teams were coming out for the second half, he was beseeching the 'toffeemen fans' to 'get behind the lads' in very serious terms!  :D

A bit of a turnaround!  ;)
