"Michael Bowler has become Dino Maamria's latest signing" according to the Northwich Guardian. "The former Stockport County defender agreed non-contract terms with the Vics' boss yesterday, Thursday... 'Michael can strengthen the team in a number of areas', Maamria told the Guardian. 'He was used a lot at right back by Jim Gannon but he can also operate as a central midfielder'. Glossop-born Bowler, who spent a spell on loan with Witton Albion last season, was released by County before Christmas after graduating through the youth ranks... before going on to make 17 first team appearances".
