Does anybody know why we always have 11 players back in our box defending?

All it means is that if we successfully defend the corner/freekick the ball just comes straight back as there is nobody up front to hold the ball or pressurise the opposition defender.

It also means that the opposition can have 9 players in and around our box. Surely it makes more sense to leave somebody up front.

Last season we lost to Exeter at home, and lost to Halifax at the Shay.

We drew 1-1 against Halifax at The Shay on New Year's Day.

How could you forget Peter Thomson's only goal for Alty?!

Listening to Graham on Clubcall, its clear that he is an Altrincham man through and through. 
   

Was this ever in doubt though?

No Alty diehard doubts his commitment but I do believe that he should apologise for his behaviour and language after the Exeter match.

(I haven't listened to the Clubcall interview, so I don't know if he expresses any remorse during Flynny's discussion with him).   

We need to pray for it to rain before every match at Moss Lane and then that's one less distraction to worry about.
