CLANCY RELEASED
« on: September 27, 2007, 02:11:03 PM »

"Altrincham FC have today released left-back Sean Clancy (right). Sean (20) played 11 times for Southport last season and signed for Alty at the end of August 2007. He made his full Altrincham debut last Saturday against Droylsden and also made four substitute appearances. As the management team felt they could not give him regular first-team football he has been released" from official site

No surprise to those of us who attended last evening's meeting.

Alas, simply not up to the required standard, as was demonstrated by Chris Denham running rings around him last Saturday.

He didn't look old enough to play for George Heslop's Youth Team!

I sometimes thought Chris Senior was at left back  :) he looked out of sorts, stick Warren back there, not a left back but better than most 'left backs' !!!

Peyton is a better left back IMHO, Warren has done little wrong there and Scotty played 90 mins on Tuesday I don't think we'll miss him that much. That said all the best for the future.

We never did get to see Abby  >:(

I have to disagree, I thought he was very poor when he came on at york, I mean he was only on for 10 minutes and didnt have much defending to do but he looked poor on the ball that night and humped every ball to no-one they were all just hopeful balls...he was terrible on saturday and tuesday too so correct decision in my opinion.

GH said last night that he knew he could get forward and it was his defending that he was 'looking at'. Maybe that is why he played him on the left wing against woking. Maybe he does have a bit of method in his madness.

i didnt think this at the time and was wondering what the hell GH was doing but it does go to show he isn't daft and again it shows just how good these forums are so we can 'get to know' what GH is thinking.

Even more reason to let the manager manage and supporters support.

I see that Saunders is going to be out between 6 to 8 weeks so Graham has let him go back to Wigan

That's Berkeley, Clancy and Saunders all off the wage bill. New players on the horizon then? The big centre forward we all dream about perhaps?

I would be amazed if we don't see one or two new faces in the next week or so.
