Why Colclough left for a team in the same league, Mullarkey left to a team in a higher division yet I don't begrudge Colcloughs' move, but I think Mullarkeys' a snake?

I actually agree with the sentiment of this post. We may have disdain for Rochdale, but ultimately they are  club in League 2. I wish Ryan all the best, but he went to one of our direct competitors.

Chesterfield, big spending team with a positive trajectory, huge crowds, strong squad.

Rochdale, running on fumes financially, crashing out of the league, lower attendances than us, weak squad assembled by the former manager for the most part.

Add to that the fact Toby came here with no real prospect of full time football, and Ryan came here and kept signing new deals despite being way below his level.

Finally, when the rumours were Grimsby I was upset but I understood that move, it's at least a season and a half of league football. Rochdale is just all around a terrible career move, like, it could end up being detrimental JJ style.

As above, Chesterfield seem to be going places and Rochdale aren't.

Colcough turned down an offer, when his buyout was met in the summer, as respect to Alty and Phil for giving him a chance.

Colclough knew Halifax was possibly his last game and did his utmost to get the winner in the last min. Mullarkey sat out two games, when we needed him.

Such a shame it ended that way with Toby. I can see it backfiring.
