Maybe they felt we'd make some sort of offer for him, but the offer never materialised. To be honest, I really feel we can do better than a probably highly paid striker at the end of his career.

Marple, we'll be in dreamland if can poach a top striker that we need, very rare commodity and we don't offer the Wonga to pay for one unfortunately, so we'll need a bit of luck like when Colin approached us or Ryan came along. I'm sure Parky and Sorvs have targets but struggling to get over the line. Many players would rather warm a bench than play most games but earn less money....
