We know they will give us an aerial bombardment so we should be well prepared for it.
Alty 2-0 BW (Linney, Con-Clarke)
They have a long throw expert too so there’s an argument for leaving the temporary warm up goals and any pitch covers we have in the attacking thirds off the pitch to nullify his run up space

On a loan for the season anyway, and has played one game for us.
Let's not completely lose our heads just yet, hey?
1) He looks and sounds like he’s extremely happy and settled here
2) Stockport’s track record of recalling players
3) He won us a point last week imo
4) 100 times the keeper Byrne is
5) Everyone was more confident last week with him in goal
6) We’ve got money from the James Berry transfer
Not losing my head, just see the opportunity that might not be there come the end of his loan spell

Osborne was my MOTM today he was great. Happy with a point overall but the added time was a joke. Later in the season and we win that 1-0 because of the time. We will be fine this season based on today

This save by Joe Corrigan was considered to be one of the best saves ever and on a par with Gordon Banks' save against Pele in the 1970 world cup.

Now watch Ollie's penalty save against Wrexham in last seasons trophy and tell me that he doesn't have any talent.
Byrne’s penalty save v Wrexham was a brilliant save but had he had to dive to his left he wouldn’t have saved it.
You can’t have a goalkeeper that is significantly weaker when diving to one side (in this case his left) or that doesn’t claim a cross that’s on his 6 yard line. PP should ask England’s Number 1 for some advice on picking a GK he’s on the terraces often enough

A good few positives from todays game. Good performances from the regulars. Impressed with Roscoe and Joey Jones looks decent. Lewis Banks wouldn’t get a game on a park on a Sunday morning. How we didn’t sign Welch-Hayes I’ll never know

« on: May 01, 2023, 09:57:01 AM »All solid defences have a reliable keeper which then instills confidence in the rest of the defence, I’m of the opinion that the lack of a keeper who bosses his six yard box is a problem which in turn spreads uncertainty in the back line.
And THAT is a most pertinent of comments. One GK can improve any number of defenders.
It certainly isn’t coincidence that Ferguson and James Jones looked better with TT playing behind them.
I’d sign Welch-Hayes, Ferguson and Sinclair of our loanees. CCC is unrealistic in my opinion and Bennett is so lazy and overweight

Parky is the king of snatching a draw from the jaws of victory.
It is so frustrating when we are 1 goal in front.
Shall we just sit off, invite them to get back into the game and hope they don’t score like yesterday or shall we keep the pressure on them and finish them off like the Solihull game?
I’ll be at there on Tuesday to get behind them again but please can we start finishing teams off
