as long as it doesn't damage the pitch too much. It is good to keep links with a club like Man U and probably says a lot about our groundsman keeping a pitch suitable for such teams.

I might wander down on Sunday.

No linking with Man U won't do us any harm and hopefully additional income to boot.
Why not come and watch Altrincham FC Ladies Reserves @ Mersey Valley on Sunday. 2pm KO. We're playing Chester FC Ladies
We do try to play attractive attacking football.
Bar is open for refreshments
Hopefully see some of you there.

I wouldn't. I believe that game is off as Derby County can't raise a team!
-
One thought: I hope it doesn't take any local interest away from our ladies' teams.

I'm sure it won't. If anything, we're helping to raise the profile of theadies' game and encouraging interest.

pffft...another example of how it is physically impossible to get anyone to invest in a non league football club....impossible...it just doesn't happen....so it's not worth trying..

Back to the thread lets see how the pitch holds up this season because had they done this at the start of last season we'd still be trying to complete our fixtures..

It's not like Tim Howard would not have been relatively local to Alty at some point!

Not sure if he still does, but when at Everton lived in Hale and used to see him in Sainsburys frequently
