Can someone please give us the year, goal scorers and times for said match.
I seem to remember they had a manager who was ending a 25 year relationship with the club, was it Dave Pearce?

I remember that day well one of the best trips I have ever had , random Aldershot fans turning up and booting a football on the pitch , lovely warm day ...and as usual I got leathered , I think it was 93/94 season and im sure steve saunders scored and possibly mickey hyde plus a few others but I was quite drunk that day ( also I think we relegated them)

GM Vauxhall Conference
Farnborough Town...2 Altrincham...5
Attendance: 738.
Alty scorers (in order - though I don't have the times of the goals to hand just yet):
(1) Paul France
(2) Carl Dyson
(3) IAN TUNNACLIFFE
(4) Mick Hayde
(5) Steve Saunders (penalty).
The departing long-serving Farnborough Town manager was Ted Pearce.
We condemned Farnborough Town to relegation whilst helping to keep Macc up.

my god for a change I actually remembered some of the things that actually happened , cult was it haydes only goal for alty ?
-
I remember that match, the match day programme declared on it's cover "Ted's Last Match". My brother and I felt quite sorry for them at the result, for a while, well maybe a nano second.
Very enjoyable day for us :-)

I remember Mick Hayde scoring in the FA Cup against either Curzon Ashton or Sheffield FC in 92/93.

Fabulous Away Day that was!
-
An exquisite chip from 30 yards from the great man was it not?
-
Keeping Macc up disgraceful. As i remember Macc also had to win on the last day and we had to beat Farnborough for them to survive
-
Keeping Macc up was the only downside of the day.
As others have indicated it was a great day out on a coach loaded with Stella. Erm, allegedly, although that was probably legal in those days.

Every goal that the peerless colossus scored for Alty exhibited exquisite skill.

And his "leaning on a wall, smoking a cigarette" goal celebration afterwards.

Which player wanted to take the penalty & went spare when Steve Saunders refused to allow him to do so?

That would be a certain Clive Freeman, who was fully aware that he was playing his final game for Alty.
