I have watched Alty since 1946 and I cannot remember a time when the pitch has been in such fantastic condition. Most years past, with last weeks weather, yesterdays game would have been off.
Congratulations to the groundsman and all who helped on Saturday morning. Pity the team did not match those efforts.
