I would go further......free entry to Chester City season ticket holders...that way it is a genuine gesture for them to enjoy some football.

Harry Redknapp always seemed stunned when he is interviewed about Pompey's finances...yeah one minute we're fine then suddenly all this mess unravels from nowhere!!!!
His financial abilities don't extend beyond the brown paper bag ..... allegedly!

To be fair though it's not down to him how much the board give him. If he went about demanding more money then i could understand people blaming just him,

Chester City's results expunged following expulsion from Football Conference

from BBC website

Chester City's Blue Square Premier results have been expunged after they decided not to appeal against their Football Conference expulsion.
The move has resulted in Oxford United overtaking Stevenage Borough at the top of the table by a point, although they lose one of their two games in hand.
Cambridge and Tamworth will be badly hit in their relegation battle, having both beaten Chester twice this season.
The decision also means Matt Tubbs is Blue Square Premier's top scorer on 19.
Joint top scorers James Constable, of Oxford, and York's Richard Brodie both scored hat-tricks against Chester, while Salisbury City striker Tubbs only scored one.
In the league table, strugglers Gateshead, twice beaten by Chester, are the main beneficiaries.
At the top end, Stevenage are worst affected, having also beaten Chester twice, thereby also losing six points - in comparison to their main promotion rivals Oxford and York City, who had played doomed City only once.
Luton Town also benefit, having twice failed to beat Chester this season.
The second of this season's two 0-0 draws between the two clubs proved to be City's last point back on 5 December.
The Conference had recommended that cash-strapped City should be expelled from the league. And, at a vote at Rushden & Diamonds' Nene Park on 26 February, they duly achieved the required statutory agreement of 75% of the Conference's member clubs.

I thought players who scored against them wouldn't have those goals stricken from their record?

Ah well, whatever, the bottom line is the right decision was taken (eventually).

Cant see Grays staying up now, then two from from any of the teams up to 14th position to go down.

I know Ebbsfleet have hit a bit of form recently but they have played so many more games than those around them, it could be out of their hands.

It must be terrible if you were due to play Chester on the last day, and if you were in the relegation/ promotion mix with all your rivals playing and you unable to do anything

Grays, Gateshead and Eastbourne will go down.

Gateshead will set out to become the next Farsley Celtic by pressing ahead with their full time plans.

Grays, Eastbourne, and Gateshead. I notice nobody's tipping the Whingeing Gloucestershire Tw*ts for the drop - I assume we all think that Peake will find them a get out clause of some sort......

I wonder if Ebbsfleet could yet fall into the relegation mix.

Grays, FGR and Ebbsfleet hopefully (Sad, very glad, and where did all the subscribers go to? respectively)
