Congratulations on getting a more positive result yesterday, we are all very proud of you all. It was so nice being able to greet you outside the players tunnel as you all came off the pitch. It has become part of our ritual whenever we watch you, with thanks to the kind stewards who allow us to do so. We also want to thank you for the high fives and signing some autographs for some of our players last night, especially as one or two were making their debut as fans. The Black Kites played this morning against Shawside Junior Under 10's, from Shaw, Oldham. We got beaten 1-0 in what was a very close game. We were disappointed to lose as we had countless opportunities to score but could not finish, but came off the pitch happy because we knew we had given our all during the game. That was the first goal we had conceded in four games. Steve's foster daughter Lacie got player of the match, she is very proud of receiving it. So proud that she did a mud slide after the game (along with some of the other girls). Steve was not too happy as his car is now filthy, and we had to go home and shower before coming to watch you all play. We had a marvellous afternoon, especially our captain Jasmine, who had not yet seen you all play. She got quite a few autographs. It means so much to us when you acknowledge us after the game like you did, we feel as if we belong to the club, and it belongs to us. I know you could all hear us chanting from the main stand, especially the new players, who all played very well. That will continue whenever we get to your games.

So thank you for a wonderful afternoon and making us feel part of the club. We look forward very much to your next home game, and will continue to support you ongoing for this season and beyond. Thank you all once again, and we all wish you continued ongoing success on the pitch.

Heartwarming to see young ones gainfully engaged with the club following the post on the Macc scallywags. Great work by those involved in making this happen. Sport taken up by this age group can result in some life long friendships and a sense of direction and purpose. Good stuff. 😄😄😄

Thanks for the message, Rory's Grandad.

This is exactly what has happened, my two foster daughters have benefitted from this as you say. Lacie's close friend is our centre forward, Eloise. They are a fabulous bunch of girls who play and work hard and really enjoy their football. Lord knows our two foster girls haven't had it easy but this type of thing gives them purpose and makes them feel they belong, and therefore has become vital to them. It is all about enjoyment, and aside from the bond with their own players and the Alty team, it is all about having interests and leisure time. Brooke and Lacie were both buzzing after the game. Fortunately, we did not meet the Macclesfield fans on our way out of the ground, but we did pass the police cars tearing up Moss Lane and wondered what had happened. Hope we were all ok, nothing should take away from what turned out to be a great high octane game yesterday, despite our start.

It really is a great club to follow.

Well said.

I love what Alty FC does with these young'ns and the joy these littluns get from the game.
