« on: February 03, 2008, 05:53:09 PM »Considering how near it is, and the importance of the game, Id been disappointed if we didnt have 400 at the butchers arms next saturday. For a game of similar stature 300 made the trip to tamworth last season.In an ideal world we'd be hoping to see 600 on the away end next week, do your best to make the short trip to droylsden, be it by coach,car, tram and bus or even taxi,even if you dont normally do away games, this is one not to be missed.Im going... What is the best pub to visit before the game?

I personally think he should have been arrested for playing with his organ in just an old Alty scarf; i feel strongly this is as bad as the man who used to relieve him self on the long gone elephant slide.

The game took a while to warm up, but the 2nd half - especially from Alty - was excellent.

As for the match, a shame York City only turned up for the last half hour and I had my head in my hands at 2-0 wondering how I was going to face the lads in the bar after the game! You should have put it to bed really but, strangely, I ended up disappointed with only 1 point. In hindsight, a fair result, I don't think you'll have much trouble staying up.
Thanks very much to Mr Heathcote for donating me his match programme. Are you lot sure there were only 348 York there?!?

Yeah fair play to the York crew was chatting to few of your boys in the Station for a good while straight after the game. Good bunch. Good luck for the rest of the season

During the football lull i thought i would ask what your most embarrasing moment was at a football game?
For me it would be running onto the pitch at Southport a number of years back to congratulate the lads on a last minute 2-1 win.
Whilst slowing down to congratulate the lads i was flattened by an overweight steward and had to be carried back to the hoardings by the players, covered head to toe in mud on the coach.
Ahh they were the days bottle of diamond white before the game
