We only used to throw things at the wigan coaches and they got promoted in 1978 so i find it unlikely that woking have ever come under heavy fire whislt exiting moss lane. mind you, did i read about an unsavoury incident with some garden refuse and a householder on stamford park road against vics last year.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and the Gazelle condem any acts of fly tipping with the upmost disgust

Qote from the woking site

I seem to remember that it was par for the course for their supporters to chuck whatever they could lay their hands on at our coach leaving Altrincham - bricks, railway sleepers - they weren't fussy. Of course, I am not saying this justifies doing it to their coach but just jogging people's memories that they aren't adverse to a bit of brick throwing themselves.

whats that all about then i cant believe its true!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did we drag them there from the nearest railway line with our teeth?

Ill be honest a few weeks into the close season in my head we were all set for a 4th succesive relegation( if Halifax handed us a reprieve that is )- However after seeing us in pre season i am actually starting to hold out hope of us avoiding relegation on our own merit- how amazing would that be??

Dont get me wrong im generally a very positive person but 3 seasons of "relegation" prepares you for the worst.

I am really pleased with the new additions- and if they play to there potential as a team we are looking good.

I cant personally remember such a good series of pre season results for a long time??

Lets hope this continues into the "real" football.

What are every one else's feelings- for me its the same as last season any thing above 4th bottom is a result.

Come on Alty  8)

Round Brook Av, Brook Lane last night, me and my brother saw someone on a bicycle behaving very suspiciously.

Around 3.50am in the garden after the night shift, as I was going outside, I saw a young man    (or old boy, white, on a (mountain?)bike, with dark clothes and possibly a lighter coloured baseball cap) who seemed to be coming out of our drive. He went off down Brook Avenue, cycling slowly on the pavement, seeming not to take much notice of me. I saw him looking in another house down the road, and he eventually went round the corner towards Londis. My brother went looking for him in his car and saw him looking at a house aswell, before losing sight of him on a road off the further up part of Brook Lane. Be aware! Especially during the school holidays.

Funnily enough I just read a newspaper piece sasying that illegal drugs trading is worth 5.3 billion pounds a year and accounts for 60 per cent of crime.

To force a football connection - this sort of thing is more likely to go on with rising costs. I think it could work in Alty's favour though - United have to charge high prices because of debt, people are less able to afford them so local people may opt for Alty more, especially if we play like at Stalybridge!

Hugh i thought when that bird crapped on you at Moss Lane it could get no worse for you... this post proved me wrong

I don't mean to incur the wrath of the masses but I personally find Alty pretty crap for pubs.

It aint what it used to be in Alty thats for sure

I cant believe people think we should'nt try and get him, he could be worth an extra 5 points a season playing consistantly for us, pace at the back is needed

I think people are gettign a bit giddy about how much we have to spend...that what I mean.

If people can suggest not starting the leagues third top scorer I sure can suggest not being able to afford Ryan Shotton.

Ha ha excellent Mark love it - there really are some crack pots on here

An away day to me is just that, an away day. A few decent pints before and lots more after. The football is the break you need to get that second wind.

Here here! have a goodwin

ah, you see to me the whole point of going to a football match is to go to the football match.

Of course the whole point of the "day out " is ultimatley the game; however it is also nice to rejoice in the splender of your surroundings as well.

Each to there own. If we were all alike it would be a very dull world.

Why would a noon kick-off affect attendance? Wrexham isn't exactly the other end of the county, or even the other end of a different country.

A lot of fans( espically away ones) go for the day out EG drinking a few before the game meeting the opposing fans visiting pubs. Thats what i try and do when going to an away game. Some may not bother if they cant do this.

So, give me the low-down guys.  Rivalries?  Historic moments?  Best players?  Has no one ever wanted to write a history of Altrincham FC?  Am I not right in thinking Alty are the most famous non-league team club in the World???

Daryl Clare always scores against us.

not always (he didn't this year), but yeah:

1. hatered of M*cc and V*cs is a must
2. Remember everyones is against us
3. Daryl Clare is a mercenary B@stard who should stick to tarmacking driveways
4. Lee Elam has a big nose and should be reminded of this fact as you inform him he is a money grabbing B@stard
5. Wayne has had every goalkeepers mum who sells crack at a shnide deal.

the rest you sort of pick up as you go along
Lee elam stays in this league to spite  us Fact!

Ha ha .. yes i do have a bit of an attraction to the keepers mums and always nip into the local Market when visiting there town. ;D

Rumors on our fanzine "Red Passion" that your local police want to change the game to a 12am - 1pm kick off. Opposed to a 3pm one. This change of time would be a major blow to MOST of our fans as the plan of a few drinks goes out of the window. Anyone else heard this.

Thanks

WrecsamFan !

Dont take this personally our police and local supermarkets get scared when more than 15 people come into the town. Basically this will probably get hyped out of all proportion resulting in all the pubs closing forcing fans to drink in Hale and Tesco using it to gain some free publicity but then at the last minute staying open.-How United and City cope with more than 15 away fans is a total mystery.

Hope it stays at 3pm.
