Connors played 11 games for us year of which we won 4 and drew 3. That form over the whole season would have seen us comfortably in mid-table.
Even allowing for the opposition and the fact that 7 of the 11 games were at home I think you would have to draw the conclusion that we played better with him that without him against opposition that are in theory a level better than the teams we are playing this season.
Good news that he's back. Hopefully he can prove his worth enough to persuade the club to find money to keep him here (without attracting interest from elsewhere).

Davis was pulling at Jones' shirt and it was right in front of the linesman who flagged for it.
Well done to the officials on that one I think.

Great post.
Of course results are important but surely we want the results to come (mostly) through quality play. The quality has to come first and there are good signs that this is coming.

Hit's the nail firmly on the head.
I'm sure no-one at the club is happy or satisfied with the return so far and I'm sure the management and players can see as well as we do (hopefully better) where the need to improve things. Give them the chance to make that happen.

I haven't been to any games but have listened in to Radio Robins and read what's written on the forum and my impression is that the team are playing an attacking style of football, mainly on the deck and it's not bad to watch. The frustration comes from not turning good play into goals and in conceding too many.
Yesterday's game seemed to be a case in point. Dominated the league leaders for much of the game on their patch but came away with nothing.
The season has hardly started. Mid-table and playing well is ok. It'll come.

I wondered too. His WikiPedia entry [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Spencer_(footballer) ] doesn't show anything which would have suggested this streak of scoring but he has dropped down a couple of leagues.

I agree they do a great job and 'the team' includes those who keep the club running but I also think the most prominent part of a team photo should be the players.
