A rallying call to all Alty supporters

This will easily be one of our toughest games of the season played in front of a big crowd. Cambridge are running a special initiative to try and get extra people through the turnstiles and I think we should all make an extra big effort to get to this game in large numbers and cheer the lads on. I've got a couple of mates coming along from down south who have never been to an Alty game before and we all need to try and do the same. It's only £12 to get in now that we've been given the standing area and we need to get there in numbers and make ourselves heard.

Book on the coach if you can or if you're driving there try and fill any empty seats with extra supporters (this will spread the cost of your petrol too!). If you're undecided about whether to go please try to make sure you're there - the lads need to see us there in numbers as it will give them a massive boost.

The pubs in Cambridge alone are worthy of going. Great drinking place if you like good beer. Still got several to check out after time ran out after the Histon game.

Just mind the cow pats behind the stand though!

BUMP

We really need to get down there and all get behind the lads. We are on a decent run and our support can really make a difference. If you've not already done so please book on the coach. Remember, it's only £12 to get in for adults as well!

Come on Alty!

We don't need that many fans to be heard singing away. It's just a shame that our away support is in small numbers. Imagine if we took a big crowd? Lets all BAFTA.

Can't bloody believe it, I am at a wedding back up north this weekend. In terms of ground, town, pubs etc Cambridge for me is the best away day in the Conference, esp when you compare it to some of the dumps we have to vist down south. Oh well, I think we should get another chance to visit next year anyway if we carry on like we are playing currently.

Our away support really depends on distance?

Northwhich and Stafford saw a good outing!

Droylesden we should take at least 300+

So based on our home crowd we do ok!

The particular stand you are in, the South Habbin, has great acoustics. So sing to your hearts content!

Cant remeber the exact number at oxford on our last southern outing, but it was into three figures, I'd assume a similar number for Cambridge on saturday.Im looking forward to seeing which bunch of oddballs turn up in torquay on a tuesday next month.

108 through the away turnstile so probably about 120 in total.

Considering the timing of that game, coupled with the cost, that was a brilliant turnout.

I think our away support is brilliant when you consider the distance involved.

I wish I could get to more away games.

Droylesden for me and my army next!

I will be there, London Alty contemplating the Tuesday-Saturday West country stopover.... even from bloody London there's only about 1 direct train a day to Torkey. It'll be a right laugh.

Russ, as mentioned on another thread, we need to keep an eye on Torquay's progress in the Trophy. If they beat AFC Wimbledon and then draw their fourth round game on Feb 23rd, I think the Torquay v Alty match will have to be moved again...

If any London-based Alty fans want to go to Cambridge and would like a lift I have space in my car. PM me or post below if you are interested.
