Tranmere were effectively going to send a youth team to us after accepting a game against Everton on the same day they had already agreed to okay us and didn't have the courtesy to let us know. Understandably the board and management were unhappy with this and were trying to arrange another game. I think it is also supposed to be the date of the unveiling of our new changing rooms too.

If they don't buck their ideas up this season, they could be sending their first team in early august 2015 - and not for a 'friendly' !
