They definitely had a shot on target. Cleared off the line first half.

J Jones looked unlikely to play on Saturday when he hopped off. Looked like ankle injury. I thought he did OK tonight he covered a heck of a lot of ground and didn’t do anything silly or great but was efficient enough at the basics.

CCC was infuriating tonight so many loose passes in good positions. Redeemed himself with the goal though which is why he stays on even when having a poor game. Gerald put an OK shift in but wasn’t given much service and is too short to hold up or flick on the long balls so needs a bit more quality to work with. Angus harried their back line really well when he came on which is what was needed at that point.

Really ponderous today. I’m a bit worried CCC might have a touch of the Adebayor syndrome. Brilliant when playing for a contract and rubbish almost overnight once he’s got one.

Those highlights don’t do justice to the save at the end. From the stand at the far end you could see just how far he had to get across to that and to push it that far wide. You can tell from the players reaction though just how good it was

His composed finish for the last goal yesterday says to me he will score plenty

We need to go back to our own radio set up. This lot are hopeless

Especially with no club text updates. I had to resort to BBC who still think we play 442 and despite fielding outfield players wearing 2-11 put kosylo at centre back and Baines on the wing!

There’s time yet if whoever set it up
Posts the code on here. FPL starts a week after we do

When I open the league it doesn’t show me the code or have the option to invite people to join, which another league I’m in does so I think whoever set it up needs to provide the code. Sorry

Is there any chance he’s just saying that to try and rebuild the shattered confidence of the lad jay in case his behind the scenes hunt for a decent keeper doesn’t pay off. Phil publicly saying he’s not good enough and we need to find a new keeper would t help Ollie or our negotiating position?

I think I’m clutching at straws!

He had 10 last year so I’m not reading too much into it

I remember one time we brought about 40 to Cleethorpes on a Tuesday night (we were searched for flares!), and I thought it was a bit of a poor turnout. Then I read in the programme that Southport only brought 17! And I'm sure Eastleig took about ten to Moss Lane for a midweek match (including one griumpy fellow in a wheelchair).

I wonder what the least we've brought to away match is? If we restrict it to league matches post Maunders, I don't think it'd be less than about 20 anyway. What did we take to the rearranged game at Yeovil last season? That must have been one of our smaller followings.

From memory I was one of 27 at Yeovil on a Tuesday night watching hampson (?) play in goal for most of the game. That included a couple of scouts watching a player on loan at the home side

I tend to agree. Also Oxford by far the best for us from the NLS with so many Southern teams in  the league (and a new club for us).

Not a new club. I saw us there in NLN one season. Tiny club but decent club house bar if I remember. Very local for me. Hoping they make it. They had a mad story a few years back about an American investor who was selling naming rights to stands for more than they cost to build to fellow Americans on the back of the Oxford name and trying to get a tie up to bolster his American college or something. All very odd.

We’ve been unable to park the bus all season, now we can’t drive it either
