.....Lee Sinnott's abrupt departure from Altrincham FC.
It's been a shocking year . However the end of the season we stayed up with about 7 games to spare was dismal and the rot just progressively got worse from there
Thoroughly depressing
Sinnin 😉

A drink ? This last year has been the first time I've almost wished I was on drugs.

No highs with Alty. Just downers.

Would any statto with half an hour to spare like to reveal the club's record in League games since then?

ideally you would need to trawl back to after we gained safety that first year back in the national leauge to paint the full depressing picture
-
That would include wins against Tranmere, Grimsby and Cheltenham at the start of last season and paint a false picture! I'll dig my programmes out of the box to help me face the weekend...... >:( >:(

Aldershot, Welling, Stalybridge and Worcester... and a handful of draws.
-
As I stated at a fans forum, the decline started with a 2-1 defeat at Macclesfield in the 2014/15 season when a decent second half of lumping it to a big man nearly got us a draw from 2 down and changed the way we played . We had a purple patch over Christmas 2014 winning 5 out of 6 and a shock home defeat to lowly Nuneaton stopped that being 6 in 6. Since the Macclesfield fixture on 10 Feb 2015 the clubs record stands as
W 15
D 23
L 53
68 points from 273.
The real woeful return has been since November 2015, the club has registered 5 wins in 56 attempts, all against crisis clubs woking players on strike, aldershot not playing for manager, welling already relegated, stalybridge utter toss, Worcester in meltdown

Did lee resign or was he sacked?
I remember confusion about that at the time.
I think we would have still been relegated under lee due to his main fault which was an inability to find new players mid season...
We wouldnt have suffered as much under ls this season either.

from Main site:
"Bradford Park Avenue manager Mark Bower has been awarded the Vanarama National League Manager of the Month for February. It was a 100% record for Bower throughout the month, as Avenue won all three of their league games to take them out of the bottom three for the first time this season....... The club hadn’t won any of their 12 games at the start of the season, and were on a 10 match losing run before a win at Altrincham in October. Since then, Bradford have won eight out of 15 league matches"
Points gained since his appointment: BPA - 28 Altrincham - 9
Applied for Altrincham job on NY's resignation, appointed to BPA less than 4 weeks later despite a question mark over a restrictive clause over severance from Guiseley (presumably terms agreed).
BPA average gate 349, last available accounts shows net book value of £11,000. Converted to a Community Benefit Society in May 2016.
The Board should approach BPA at the earliest opportunity to rectify their error.

I think those stats exclude Neil Young's glorious reign - it's actually W4 D9 L27.

You are quite correct, my apologies.
My stats only show our league record during Matt Doughty's involvement as coach/manager.

Laurence,
Since Lee Sinnott's somewhat cryptic exit, I calculate that Alty have played a total of 43 league fixtures, which have produced the following abject statistics:
Won: 4;
Drawn: 10;
Lost: 29.
Points gained: 22 out of a possible total of 129.
To break matters down into the various management teams:
(1) Neil Tolson & Matt Doughty:
Played: 11;
Won: 2;
Drawn: 3;
Lost: 6;
Points gained: 9 out of a possible total of 33.
(2) Neil Young & Gary Jones (the other one!):
Played: 6;
Won: 0;
Drawn: 3;
Lost: 3;
Points gained: 3 out of a possible total of 18.
(3) Shaun Densmore, Alan Goodall & Jake Moult:
Played: 3;
Won: 0;
Drawn: 1;
Lost: 2;
Points gained: 1 out of a possible total of 9.
(4) Jim Harvey & Matt Doughty:
Played: 10;
Won: 1;
Drawn: 0;
Lost: 9;
Points gained: 3 out of a possible total of 30.
(5) Matt Doughty, Robbie Lawton & Graham Heathcote:
Played: 13;
Won: 1;
Drawn: 3;
Lost: 9;
Points gained: 6 out of a possible total of 39.
-
Matt Doughty appears in 3 out of the last 5 management teams, coincidence? Surely the end is coming?
-
My word that actually makes Tolson our most successful manager since Sinnott!

I am as good a statistician as Matt Doughty is a manager.

All these stats... all these losses...
Question... who was responsible for appointing these managers who have fell way below the mark
Answer... Graham Rowley... that's who ....
