National v Goodwin (Poor Boston)

What a tremendous result in Alty staying up. Albeit we are not there on footballing merits it is just that we are in the National now and it appears as thought the officials have done the right thing this time around.

However at this stage i would like to pass on my condolences to the Boston fans who are suffering now because of the way the club has been run.

Now then my questions is this - what will happen to Geoff Goodwin?

My hope is that he stays on to help Altrincham to greater heights, staying in the National on footballing and financial merits. Hopefully the new director will take some of the stresses away from Geoff and the board as a whole can springboard us up the league.

Let it be known I bought my season ticket last Thursday :-)

Indeed condolences to Boston fans, they must have suffered a lot over the past few months.  Lets hope the club finds a way forward from here and doesn't disappear altogether, no one should have to go through that.

I also hope Geoff will stay.  Today's deicision is a reward for his sound stewardship.  It shows a quality chairman is worth as much as a good manager or star goal scorer.  I'm glad we have one as they are harder to find than any other role in the club
