Post by: JT on January 02, 2008, 07:58:09 PM
What's going on with him because i'm sure earlier on sky sports news i saw that it said he had signed a new deal with macc, so was it just a one game loan or is he still with us?

I saw that earlier too & Im a little confused as it stated he'd signed a new deal with Macc to the end of the season.

Nothing on the main site here as yet.

he can sign a new contract with macc to secure his future with that club but it will not affect his loan with us.

For clarity though, how long is his loan here?

The Macc site says that, although signing a contract til the end of the season, JJ joins Alty on an initial 1 month loan deal:

These new loan players are good news, but if they are only here for a month then they won't be much use!!

I would have been alot happier if we'd managed to sign some players (not that i'm complaining!)

I think GH will be discussing options if they shape up, you never know some may even become available at the end of the season!

Surely taking a player on loan for a month is better than nothing. If things work out maybe we can ask for longer but lets review things then. Rememer a month is a bloody long time in this league

I seem to remember that Ryan came for a month originally

from the oracle Mr Ladlair:

The other signing, on a 93-day loan to April 2nd 2008 (not a month's loan as the club originally announced) is from Macclesfield Town. He is left-back James Jennings (dob 2/9/87) who made 5 starts and 7 sub appearances for Macc.

It makes sense to start with a month.  The move may not work out for club or player.

Details and news regarding all the new loan signings is available on the official club website compiled by the most reliable webmaster in non-league football (John Laidlar)..............it's all there in relation to durations

It says Jennings is on a 93 day loan....not 1 game or not 1 month

Any player can of course sign a 3 year deal (for example) with Macc Town / Stoke City etc because that is the club that employs them. We have just borrowed these players for an agreed timescale (just like I have my Dad's hedgecutter in the shed)

He could always be sent back but touch wood he'll continue in the same promising vein he started at Vics.

Rob Bickerton is a disgrace. I remember seeing him on Granada News saying how they had been harshly done by the Football Foundation and that they hadn't gained anything from tehir fraud. What? By building a stand with executive hospitality facilities miles earlier than it would've been you didn;t make any money.

Dickhead. Corrupt embarrassment to football that place. Not sur ewho he'll go an d launder money for next.
