Signed from BPA

Another midfielder cos we obviously don't have enough of them do we?

I was sort of hoping, having sent Peers out on loan he had a replacement striker lined up...clearly not

It's beginning to look like we're going to be playing 4-3-3 for the next few games.

As long as we get some points on the board I’m not bothered who plays or which formation we play.. I expect the lad Marriott will be more of an attack minded midfielder, who hopefully knows where the goal is.

Good luck Isaac, and welcome to Alty…

We played Ceesay in a pronged attack against county and should have taken 4 points

Let's be solid and get back to fast breaking football

Sounds exciting and full of promise, welcome Isaac and good luck.

If the right striker doesn't come along, so be it - I'd rather stay as we are rather than signing another dud out of desperation like that journeyman lad we had last year, can't even remember the name of him now.

You have a few to pick from: Byron Harrison, Jacob Blyth, Nyal Bell...

Is Jordan Piggott any relation to Joe Hulme?

And not to be confused with the good Piggott who got his "big" move to Ipswich . As opposed to the bad Phil Parkinson who got sacked off by Bolton (if my brain's not playing up!)

I think I get it now. In the absence of a top class number 9 until we go full time (hopefully), we just play 5 attacking midfielders instead. And by creating enough chances, some of them are bound to be scored, even if it's Jake Moult on the end of them.

To be fair, our goals scored is pretty decent this season anyway. And worth remembering that we haven't had a good second season in the "Conference" (after getting into it) since 1980-81. I will still be very happy with the 14th to 16th place that I predicted.

TBH Man City play without a recognised striker after their derisory offer for Harry Kane. Full marks to Daniel levy for standing his ground so lets give it a try. SBL
