Altrincham FC First Team / Come and Help the Ladies Celebrate
« on: June 28, 2015, 11:16:51 AM »
As you may know Altrincham Ladies, in only their fourth season have achieved promotion into the North West Regional Womens Football League.

To celebrate this excellent achievement and to recognise the ability and commitment of the players who battled through a long and challenging season Altrincham FC Ladies are holding their presentation night, kindly sponsored by Robinsons Preservation at the Community Sports Hall on July 17th, beginning at 7.30pm.
All those companies and organisations who have kindly sponsored the Ladies in any way have been invited down as have a number of Club and County FA dignitaries.
We would like to extend this interview to all those of you who have supported the Ladies in any way during the 2014/15 Season whether that be attending games, reading match reports or indeed just expressing an interest. Also to those friends we are yet to meet...our potential supporters for the 2015/16 and subsequent seasons.

Anybody with any questions about Altrincham FC Ladies or who is interested in potential sponsorship which will be seen across the North West of England please feel free to contact Manager Keith Edleston on 07912 117622

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies in Play-Off
« on: June 04, 2015, 09:54:13 PM »
As you will probably be aware Altrincham FC Ladies achieved a very creditable second place in the Cheshire Women's and Youth League

This encouraged the Ladies to apply for promotion to the North West Regional Women's League.

With support from a number of sources including Altrincham Football Club, Mersey Valley Sports Club and the Cheshire Women's and Youth League, amongst others a point has been reached where the final promotion place is to be decided by a one-off play-off fixture between Altrincham FC Ladies and Haslingden Women and Girls who were runners up in the Lancashire County Women's League.

It is as yet undecided where and when the game will be played but the Ladies would really appreciate any support any of you might be able to offer.

More details will be posted as and when they become available

Just a reminder that, as previously advertised Alty Ladies are tomorrow taking on the Isle of Man Representative side in a 3.00pm Kick Off at Clay Lane.

This is a big deal for the girls and they would, I feel sure, appreciate all and any support.

If you aren't familiar with Alty Ladies, Alty finished 2nd in the Cheshire League this season, yet another improvement over the previous season's outcome.

Please come down and have a look - I think you may be pleasantly surprised by the standard of football

This game is a significant part of the IoM preparations for the forthcoming Island Games and we were specifically approached by the IoM FA because of our reputation

If you can then please come on down and support the Ladies. You never know you may just enjoy it

This Evening Altrincham FC Ladies defeated Egerton FC Ladies by four goals to one.

In doing so we mathematically secured the runner up spot in the Cheshire Womens and Youth League fior the 2014/15 Season behind Warrington Wolverines who won the League by the proverbial country mile

Thank You to alll the Players and Management.

Also thanks to our various sponsors Blue Dog Bar and Kitchen, J Davidson,  Richie Bentley Catering, Randalls Jewellers, Neil Faulkner  and Impact Signs and Design

« on: May 03, 2015, 08:35:57 PM »
Just a thank you to all of you who were so supportive of Altrincham FC Ladies this afternoon at the J Davidson Stadium.

The encouragement and applause really was appreciated by us all.

I hope that we provided some entertainment even though it was a low scoring game and proved that Women can indeed play a bit.

Thanks Again

Altrincham FC First Team / Embarrassed
« on: February 28, 2015, 08:18:34 PM »
Is how I feel tonight to be associated with Referees.

It won't last and I'll be back to normal shortly but I must say that Mr Coy was probably guilty of the worst performance I have witnessed from a Referee since the ill starred appearance of Mr Salisbury at our home League fixture against Hednesford last season.

Had he been about twenty times better he may have scaled the dizzy heights of inept but sadly he wasn't that competent.

We can accept anyone, player, referee, manager or ball boy having a bad day so long as they are bad both ways but sadly he wasn't.

He seemed to be intimidated by Barnet and their thoroughly unpleasant manager throughout the game and how both Ngala and Akinde stayed on the FoP is still perplexing me now.

I actually thought that we played very well indeed today against all the odds and possibly deserved to get something out of the game other than anger and frustration

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies Fixture Postponed
« on: February 22, 2015, 09:31:00 AM »
The Ladies fixture at home today versus Wallasey Wanderers has been postponed.

The visitors sufferers a bereavement on the aquad overnight and it is therefore only proper that out of respect the game not go ahead

Good Evening.

Just a request please.

If you wish to make offensive comments to or about me then please have the cojones to do so on here rather than sending snide personal messages.

Oh and might I also suggest that you attempt to cultivate a sense of humour? because if my post in the Squad Rotation thread REALLY annoyed you enough to elicit the reaction it did then you clearly do not have one

Good Result today

Happy New Year

Altrincham FC First Team / Reinforcements
« on: November 11, 2014, 11:37:11 PM »
I see that a number of posters have advocated bringing in players after Sunday.

We are of course, being members of the top level of Non League constrained by transfer windows hence, for the time being, we could, so far as I am aware, only sign free agents or loan players.

Leaving the free agents out of the equation for the time being as the likelihood of them being fit enough to play at this point in the season is minimal (unless released very recently) we are left with loan signings.

Ideally we are looking then at loan signings from Football League clubs - yes?  And this is where our part time status can count against us a bit. League Clubs train daily, we don't and it is a very rare player who will train with their host club and also with us so, as our last few loans have demonstrated, the value even of loan players is limited.

I don't have an answer - just putting a point
