Both teams like to get the ball down and play and recent games between us have been excellent spectacles played with commitment, passion but good spirit

Altrincham FC First Team / Good News for some Re This Forum
« on: April 03, 2016, 11:57:54 PM »
Having had some time to think, to look over the posts past and present on here, and to evaluate my priorities I am, from this point onward going to post on here only on matters which relate to The AFC Ladies Team.

I, like an increasing number it seems, am totally and heartily fed up with the forum having been seemingly hijacked by a small minority of idiots (cannot be Alty Fans) who just want to pursue their own personal vendettas.

I know that this will please a number of individuals who have taken pleasure, at every opportunity, to abuse me.  You may feel that you have won by me withdrawing from the forum - far from it.

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies Fightback
« on: April 03, 2016, 06:49:15 PM »
Having gone 2-0 down this afternoon to an Ellesmere Port Town side who still harboured title ambitions, Altrincham Ladies fought back to secure an extremely creditable 2-2 draw.

Goalscorers were Georgia Plant and Alisha Palmer.

Every single player contributed massively to the result in a great game for the spectators to watch.

Mike Ripley who kindly attend the Ladies fixtures and takes som superb pictures has had two published in THE magazine for Ladies Football, She Kicks

His photos are of the celebrations of our striker Lissy Taylor when she registered her third goal in the recent Cheshire County Ladies Cup win over Chester City.

Congratulations are due I believe to Mike on this excellent and much deserved achievement

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies Progress in County Cup
« on: January 24, 2016, 04:44:00 PM »
Altrincham Ladies secured their place in the deaw for the Second Round of the Cheshire County FA Ladies Cup this afternoon with a 10-0 victory over Chester City Ladies.

Goals were scored by Lissy Taylor (3), Kye Brown (2), Jess Hartopp (2), Alisha Palmer, Kate Bryan and an OG

I may sound a bit biased but quite a bit of the football today was a pleasure to watch.

If you want an independent viwe however we did attract quite a decent crowd, many of whom expressed their admiration.

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies Secure First Win
« on: October 19, 2015, 10:49:43 PM »
Just to advise those of you kind enough to show an interest in the Ladies Team.

Yesterday Altrincham Ladies secured their first win since promotion, beating a young Mersey Girls side 3-2

This was no mean achievement as yesterdays opponents had won 7-1 the previous week and played some excellent quick passing football.

We are at home this Sunday (Mersey Valley) when we take on Merseyrail Bootle - Kick Off 2.00pm  All are most welcome and you may find the experience pleasant. I know a number of you already have done

Altrincham FC First Team / Your Support Would be Greatly Appreciated
« on: September 23, 2015, 07:24:52 PM »
Altrincham Ladies play their first home League fixture since promotion on Sunday when we take on FC United of Manchester Ladies at Mersey Valley Sports Club. Kick Off 2.00pm

I believe that FCUM have a "healthy" fan base, many of whom travel and it would be nice I think if we could attract support of our own on this auspicious occasion.

Those of you who came to watch us last season and in our games against Lees University and Stockport County recently will, I hope recognise that we do try to play good football

so, give it a try, it's free to watch!!

Thanks

Altrincham FC First Team / Cheltenham Videos
« on: September 05, 2015, 08:32:58 PM »
On the Cheltenham Forum there are three video interviews following today's game.

The Manager, The Captain and Kyle Storer

I watched all three and was furious at the lack of respect shown to us by all but one of them - NOT surprised I hasten to add, just annoyed

The Captain, in particular seems a right prong

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies Transatlantic Challenge
« on: June 28, 2015, 11:20:56 AM »

The reputation of Altrincham Ladies for organisation, hospitality and good football, which was a major reason for the visit of the Isle of Man Representative side at the end of last season has crossed the Atlantic and made it as far as Tennesee.

At 7.30 on August 5th the Altrincham Ladies will be taking on a visiting team from Lee University in Tennesee Lee are the reigning NCCAA Champions and boast four players named as NCCAA All Americans.

Clearly this will be a significant challenge for Altrincham and any support will be welcomed.

Those of you who have see the US National Team in the Womens World Cup will be aware of the type of football played by USA Women's Teams so it has the definite potential to be an entertaining evening.

For further details please either reply on here or contact Manager Keith Edleston on 07912 117622
