Altrincham FC First Team / Women's FA Cup Win

I know that there is a specific page for the Women's Team but some people may not be aware of it.
Can I therefore highlight not only the excellent Win for the Women in yesterday's FA Cup Tie and the superb performance from a team which has had a difficult start to the season but also what a great game of football it was to watch.
Played hard but fair with no shortage of impressive play and six goals to boot.
It was great to see so many of the younger girls there supporting and forming, in many cases, ambitions to aspire to play at this level in the future

Rebecca, who refereed one of our games earlier this season (Halifax away?) Has been appointed to Referee a Football League match this coming week.
She will become the first female referee appointed to a game at this level in this country

As can be seen on the main site Clare Allan, wife of Bob, Mother of Margaret and very long term Altrincham fan has sadly passed away following a recent fall.
I, like many, knew Clare for many years.

The Ladies commence pre season training this evening at Mersey Valley Sorts Club - 7.00pm
If you feel you could add to the squad then why not pop down to Banky Lane M33 5SL for 7pm or give Keith a call on 07711 961101

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies Successful Tour

Altrincham FC Ladies have returned from the Isle of Man having finished as Runners Up
Our First fixture against the Isle of Man Full Representative side ended in a narrow 3-2 defeat, although, given another five or ten minutes, a draw might well have been achieved.
On Sunday The Ladies came back from conceding an early goal to run out 3-1 Winners.
The quality of the Football played by The Ladies was superb and I would venture to suggest that the fixture between ourselves and the Isle of Man "first" team was one of the best games I have seen in a long time.
The togetherness and spirit of the squad bodes very very well for our future of Ladies Football at Altrincham
The hospitality of the Isle of Man FA and the Manx people was exemplary which led to a superb weekend.

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies Embark on First Overseas Tour

Altrincham FC Ladies will set off for the Isle of Man tomorrow to participate in a four team tournament.
After the success of the game last year at Clay Lane, when we took on the Isle of Man Representative Team the IoM FA were so impressed by both the Ladies and the Club as a whole that they have invited us to travel over, together with Chester City Ladies.
This is a major coup for the Ladies, the Community Company and the Club.
It is hoped to be able to provide updates via Social Media and an account of the tour when we return.

Altrincham FC Ladies ensured that we would not finish in a relegation position today beating Liverpool City Ladies 6-0 on a chilly damp afternoon.

Many Thanks to everyone who has supported us in any way this season and particularly to our hardy bunch of Parents, Partners etc. However very special mention has to be made of our now regular supporters, especially Bill and Roger. Altrincham FC Ladies have a vital fixture on Sunday afternoon, when we take on Liverpool City Ladies at Mersey Valley.
We have made it a part of FA Girls Football Week and would absolutely love to break our attendance record.
Please support both the Female game as a whole and Altrincham Ladies more specifically by coming down to watch the game.
Kick Off is 2.00pm and there will be food and drink available.
Those of you who are yet to experience Women's Football may well be pleasantly surprised!!
