Its currently snowing quite hard in Shrewsbury this morning with more forecast for later today, with not much sign of a rise in temperature.
What's the current state of weather in WA15 please
-
Glorious sunshine in neighbouring WA16

Cheers Hash

Light sprinkling of snow in Timperley , might be a covers on the pitch job ?
-
I'm hoping the over 50 dinner guest put the covers on before being fed yesterday.
-
No we didn't but we all took it turn to have a go with the sprinklers. :D
-
14 magpies were grazing in the penalty area at the Golf Road end around 2.30.
Unfortunately the old rhyme doesn't extend that far.
-
According to Shaw Lane we're doing a pitch inspection at 10am.
-
Been falling heavy for 3 hours here non stop.
I expect schools will be shutting etc soon.
-
Blue sky and a mild 3 degrees here in the Bucks/Oxon borderlands.
It would really help us kick on over xmas if we got a result over them tomorrow. Lets hope the pitch holds up overnight and the club are doing all they can to protect it.

BBC online forecast for Alty on Sat is roughly as follows -
dry overnight, temps 0-1C
light snow by 8 am
heavy snow by 11am
sleet by 2pm
respite by 4pm, but light snow again by 5pm lasting into the evening.
Doesn't look good - but Sunday looks worse still!
Keeping my fingers crossed that they've erred on the bleak side ...
-
Sounds like a nice long trip from Barnsley with that forecast, as I can't see Woodhead Pass being open! Should at least double their journey time, which should work in our favour. If the game is on!
-
Having been out for a wander this morning, while it's not as cold as I expected, I think it looks doubtful for this afternoon's fixture. Been while since we've had a home fixture and so I was looking forward to it...damn it all.
-
Just started to snow again in Timperley. Not very heavy, but forecast that Mike posted is beginning to look depressingly accurate.
-
Get the orange ball out and get on with it football's gone soft lol.
-
Stopped again after only 15 minutes. Sky blue to the west, but grey to the east. Inspection due in 20 minutes. It's going to be pretty soft underfoot.....
-
For what it's worth this is the current BBC online forecast -
light snow thru 11 am, then cloud, then light rain shower around 1 pm, then sleet by about 2pm, turning to light snow by 5pm & lasting thru the evening.
I still think they're guessing ..
Hope the decision is made in the next 45 minutes - I'd have tp set off earlier than usual today for various reasons ... fingers crossed still!
-
Macc and Fcum both on probably down to having covers on the pitch
