Ripped Off?
« on: February 10, 2008, 11:00:22 AM »

I was informed last night that U14's for Droylsden got in free!!

Whilst we had to fork out £5 or even £8.

If true this is not on!

I will be discussing with the club, and possibly contacting Trading Standards.

Any other parents feel ripped off?

Well I'm not a parent but yes I am pissed off because I (just) qualify for this. I want my 8 quid back. Surely there is a rule where both sets of fans have to be charged the same(I have heard this mentioned on the forum before).

£8 for Under 16's was a bit of a rip. I really do think the price of Conference football generally is a rip for the quality you are seeing.

Was another rip off to be honest. They are obviously used to southern teams visiting as the food looked rather posh for normal people ;D

bit of a design flaw at that end not being able to have the catering in view of the pitch.

The sound of the generator behind the stand got a bit annoying too.

Who told you it was free...the only place I saw that was a random fan on their board?

Reply on the Droylsden forum

Under normal circumstances Mikey B is correct about the ground entry prices. Can only think segregation had something to do with the under 14s admission cost. Still, it's a damn sight better than the prices at some of the other clubs at this level. Stevenage charge a shocking £12.00 u/16s and Oxford £11.50 for away fans.

I got the info off a known droylsden fan, who said yesterday droylsden U14 got in free.

I do not mind paying if it is the same for both sides!
