In my recent memory 93-94, only the last bit when kingy returned and we became great, thought we'd go on to finally win the league next season (silly me).

I strangely like most for different reasons. Have to go with first promotion from Unibond league and beating Emley 1-0.

SEASON - Last promotion- getting in the play offs/ then the actaul playoffs were just brilliant


MANAGER - Heathcote(bar some of his substitutions) for the simple fact of where the club stands now, on the field and  financially. Bernard was fun but spent a lot of money which didn't help the clubs finances at the time.

SEASON:1992/93 many drunkun trips around the country notably daz rimmer swinging from the yeovil goal posts after 3 0 win

What I love about these in you remember players... Forgot about 'Worlds best loan player Russell' .... Its just when we broke records to sign him that he went of the boil, never seen an alty player so cool at round the keeper and even charged down a goalkeeper clearence or two which I like.... and Sertori.. V scary man.

1990-91, I would give anything to relive a season like that again, in fact just the January and February off it would do.

Really liked Tommy Miller but will go for Paul Ellender, a collossus. At the risk of jinxing him, Youngy is heading that way too. Also, Clive Freeman if we're allowed to discount the defending part. 

MIDFIELDER

Bomber. The top man, pure and simple. Gary Anderson was pivotal in the 2 best sides of my lifetime and the club may have sunk without trace in the Unibond years without Ian Craney. Val Owen will always be a legend for his performances on the play offs if nothing else.

WINGER

I've seen some good wingers at Alty in my time but.... Paul Showler, impossible to sum up what he was if you never saw him. If you did, he doesn't need explaining.

I agree with Rosie about the red and white kit with red sleeves. It's just a shame that for the 3 seasons we wore it we were totally wank.

I'll go for the classic red and white kit for the 1990-91 season, or rather the 30 or so that were ordered and sold in October (no sponsor or number). Despite us having a bandwagon/groundswell of support, the likes of which I've not seen before or since and a huge amount of requests, the club couldn't/wouldn't sell any more of them. They did the following year when we were toss, but it always amuses me that only 30 or so people had that calssic kit. I know Jimmy did, Ecky might've had one too.

SEASON -  Play Off final, Stoke although 1993/1994 good for me as it was my first season watching Alty so pretty important in my life.


MANAGER -  Bernard Taylor, for giving us a load of sandwiches on the 'attacked' coach coming back from a 1-1 at Burton.


KEEPER - Stuart Coburn, Paul Collings second for having the most garish goalie top ever, a replica of which I also bought.


DEFENDER - France, scored a few goals as well.


MIDFIELDER - Ian Craney.


WINGER -  Kevin Ellison, Sharratt and Terry heyday a close second.


STRIKER -  Colin Little, probably Andy Green second.


CULT HERO - Colin Little, Coburn a close second.


KIT - 1994/1995 (?) Gold and Black Stripes away. I also, for some unknown reason, liked the 1993/4/5 home shirt made by 'Activity' which had thinner red and white stripes than normal. Anyone remember that one?

The "Activity" home kit was worn between August and December 1994. The EN-S one replaced it from the Wigan Athletic game onwards.
