"Subject heading: Wrexham fans just need a minute of your time to help protect their football stadium.

Many fans will remember wrexham in going in to admin 3 years ago:

It was proved later in the high courts that this was part of a plan of the owner to level the stadium and build houses on it for his own profit.

With help of football fans around the country, Wrexham was able to successfully fight that happening.

However, Wrexham fans still need help from other football supporters because we plan to lobby our council into naming the ground as protected.

One of the ways we are lobbying the council is by presenting them with a petition asking them to protect the ground in their Local Development Plans.

meanwhile the owners of the club have sold the ground and debts to a holding company making the team "debt free".  whilst they build a student village at the condemmed end.

What would happen if (say) wrexham hit the premier league in 10 years time and the housing market really picked up again and wrexham fc and their fans wanted to sell the ground for developement securing an ideal brown field site right on the motorway network for a 30,000 all seater stadium next to and linked to a new massive retail complex in a genuine scheme to secure the club's future?

They'd all be moaning at the council for being jobsworths and blocking the club's progression.

Would be great if the locals followed Wrexham and not Liverpool, Everton, Manchester United and Chelsea and Altrincham  (a few exiled robins like myself).
