One of the gym instructors at Alty leisure centre wants to play professional football. He is willing to do a pay per play deal to get his career started. He plays in midfield or defence. I told him to contact the club but he is a bit nervous about being rejected.
-
I want to play pro football as well and am happy to go on a pay as i play deal can you get me in as well. i also fear rejection but then we did have tunna once
Sorry not being flippant but is he any good, wheres he played before?
-
I sometimes swim at the same leisure centre and wouldn't mind a game myself........if you are reading this Graham I will play for nowt ;D
-
Tell him if gets a game, the pop side will give him 20 mins then make a final decision.
Not that he will of course..its not Stamford Lads..this is the highest level of semi pro fotball.
-
C'mon Ecky 20 minutes...............we don't even give any of Graham and Ken's players that long ;)
Some supporters behind me wrote off Nicky Clee after 10 minutes !
-
Eh? We have to watch players before we form an opinion now or summat?
-
Looks like i might have a future as an agent. My commission is only 99%

If the injury and illness epidemic continues, we may have to consider trialling players with no pro contract elsewhere. Times is 'ard me dears !
-
You know you are a miserable lot sometimes! I hope he does phone GH and have some sort of trial - it's not like he's trying to be George Weah's cousin or that one that fleeced Bangor. Good luck to him. Live the dream.

Sign him up I say....time to give local talent a try.
-
ive been giving the local talent a try its altogether a very pleasing and agreeable experience. However what has this got to do with signing the swimming teacher from alty baths

I think i was in that pub in Sale you were talking about. No scrumpy but a good selection of real ale and a large breasted serving wench.

I've found a player as well. He's getting on a bit but he played with Stanley Matthews as a kid.
I think that as well as giving local youth a go we could inject some experience into the team.
His knees aren't what they were, but he can still bite with reasonable force.
As well as extra cover for injuries, his inclusion will strike a real chord with the equal opportunities comission.
-
The ball would be too light for him and he wouldnt understand about you not being ablke to touch people without them rolling around in agony

Well, sign her up for starters!
