The BBC says that "Wrexham have signed striker Jake Speight from Bradford City on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old scored six goals in 36 appearances last season, with one of those goals coming during a short loan spell at Port Vale. Speight was given a 12-week prison sentence for assault in July 2010, shortly after joining Bradford from Mansfield Town for £25,000.

'He's a proven goalscorer', said Wrexham manager Dean Saunders. 'He'll do well for us'... Saunders has been looking to sign a striker since losing last season's top-scorer Andy Mangan to Fleetwood Town in May".

Proven goal scorer? 6 in 36 and some of them were pens?

Maybe he didn't receive as many crosses in the box as  he would hope to at Wrexham (30 per game is the norm I believe

I thought Wrexham owed a lot of money. How can they sign players when they owe money? Have they a similar money tree that the V*cs used to have a couple of years ago?
