Stafford Rangers...1   Altrincham...0

Altrincham...0   Stafford Rangers...1

To summarise: six points gifted to one of our main relegation rivals.

Two dreadful games in which we couldn't score a single goal against a fellow part-time team.

Well ,best you win Conf. North next season and we can get back to giving you 4 points, in the vain hope you may stay up for more than two seasons, I mean we did try to save you, then again if the walrus gets bored in the summer we may go into admin and get docked 10 pts and we will have saved your candy asses again!

The stafford games are a couple of many games we should hve achieved more.

I for one will miss the derby games with the vics.

There are loads of games where we deserved a point and got jack, but the the one that stands out for me was Woking at home. 2 - 0 in front and coasting, Scott goes down and has to come off as Bushell's being led off, they score and end up winning 3 -2. That was  3pts as sure as eggs are eggs but for two badly timed injuries.

Definetly.

1 point makes it all the worse!

The Stafford game counts but then there were 44 other games.  We also picked up points elsewhere that we didn't fully deserve.

The biggest reason for me was the part time status and the lack of resources.

alty

from a northwich point of view, you where miles better than stafford,

I wish they had gone, whilst playing alty is nerve wracking as the lows are lower than any lows,

the highs if we could of won would of been better than anything.

i hope you come back quickly, this game suits us both on many levels if not just financial.
we will probably get drolysden at xmas time, which will mean nothing

all the best - one vics fan

Fair play to the vics fans coming on here and not rubbing it in that we've gone down.

never thought i'd hear myself say it but, all the best for next season :o  :)

Why is it down to two games in a 46 match campaign? If we'd have beaten Stafford home and away, but lost to Stvenage away, and Morecambe away and still gone down, what would the reason be then?

if these were the only changes we'd be on the same amount of points as we are now, but stafford would be on 6 less... 8)

The main reason we got relegated has been said before, its being part time,If you look at it as playing a cup match against a league team every week you can see why things worked out the way they did.A few years ago part time in the conferance was the norm, not anymore.Having said that it is possible with a bit of luck to hold your own for a season or so.I dont know what the answer is how do you get 3000+ in the ground for every home game and then you could go full time and not get into debt.At least we are debt free now so lets get players on contract and then we may hold onto the best ones
